Comme je l’ai dit initialement dans ma présentation, le projet met à la disposition de la communauté du bassin du Congo une bonne base de données des caractéristiques hydrodynamiques du fleuve Congo. Il sera question que la communauté puisse valoriser ces données à travers un ensemble de projets à concevoir pour le développement et aussi répondre aux différentes préoccupations telles que celle de transfèrement des eaux du bassin du Congo.

How can we manage/overcome the uncertainty and move fast in the era of climate change? What type of Science-Policy dialogue can we have in such area where scientific data are not so common?

We are scaling Andy's modelling up to the reach from Kinshasa and Mbandaka as part of the SWOT work.

Question from Ernest - the presenter used a simplified model of the river, did he take in account the rugosity of the soil as well as the hydrological diameter of the river stream? Ernest believes that this could impact the river flow in general

Elevation Data - Copernicus DEM - I will touch briefly on that tomorrow :)

@ Ernest. Thanks for your question. Andy's model uses the in-situ field data to calibrate the roughness of the channel and this is validated against water surface elevation and velocity - so we are very certain about the hydraulic conditions in the model.
