Disabled people’s innovation for inclusive and participatory social policy
The Disabled People’s movement has been a pioneer of developing participatory public and social policy internationally, building on the diversity of disabled people’s own ideas and experience to develop new inclusive and accessible ways of working and effective challenges to marginalisation and discrimination.

At the same time, years of neoliberal ideology, cuts in public services and the crisis in benefits and social care have again threatened disabled people’s independence and full citizenship.

In this webinar, panellists will speak from their particular experience and perspective, to highlight the most important innovations disabled people have pioneered for inclusive and participatory policy, practice, learning and knowledge development.

How can we challenge the threats we now face to independent living and combat the failure to reform social care in line with disabled people’s rights and proposals?
